Okay, so you may not be able to tell from the photo, but here our favorite chef is pictured in Italy, Venice to be exact, submitting his Poached Branzino in a Vegetable Curry Puree to the judges of the San Pelligrino Cooking Cup Challenge.
Yachting and cooking, eating and drinking in Italy — that’s hard to beat.

‘Will Cook’ Travel Plans

Rocky Fino will be traveling coast to coast this summer and fall, spreading his Will Cook magic along the way. Take advantage and catch this foodie at one of the following events:

Solvang, CA – March 6th
The Chef’s Touch. Cooking class and book signing at a cool little culinary studio and wine shop. This is the Central California wine country so Rocky is sure to be enjoying some of the local flavors to go with the class.

St. Louis, MO – June 5
Rocky is coaching a ‘Date night’ cooking class at the Kitchen Conservatory in Clayton. The conservatory has a great classroom set up. Hopefully, the wives will be impressed with the guys’ efforts.

New York, NY – June 14, 15
New York baby! Rocky will be hosting the cooking stage at the New York Bar Show. This is a Food & Beverage industry trade show. Rocky has been given the challenge of expanding the cooking presence of the show, which will be challenging considering everyone’s attention is captivated by all of the booze offerings. Rest assured he is working on some good ideas and will be joined by Gary Monterosso (Still Crazy After All of These Beers) so it should be a lot of fun!

Atlantic City, NJ – July 30-Aug 1
Toast to the Coast. This will be Rocky’s second year hanging with the Food Network celebs. Promises to be a crazy weekend full of events with many big names and great parties.

St. Louis, MO – September 11
Cooking class at the Kitchen Conservatory in Clayton. The theme for this class will be Holiday Entertaining. Hint: Guys, it pays to impress the in-laws with some good cooking during the holidays.

Wilkes-Barre, PA – September 12
Beer Show. Oh my!

Valley Forge, PA – October 16-18
Valley Forge Food and Wine Expo. Rocky will regroup with all of his friends at Gourmet Shows for 3 days of cooking demos, wine tasting, and great times. Looking forward to this one.

Las Vegas, NV – November 8
Vegas Valley Book Festival. Rocky will be demonstrating cooking, answering questions, and signing books next to some of Las Vegas’ top chefs. The event runs from 11AM – 2PM on Sunday. Take time away from the Spearmint Rhino and stop by for a taste.

Pittsburgh, PA – November 21
Pittsburgh Beer Show. Exact show title yet to be announced, but Rocky will be there performing cooking demonstrations with beer … and tasting 1 or 2 along the way.

ForeWord magazine announced the winners of the 2005 Book of the Year Awards, a program established in 1998 to recognize quality books published by independent and university presses.

The Stephens Press title Will Cook for Sex: A Guy’s Guide to Cooking by Rocky Fino received the Silver award for Cookbook of the Year.
